Pokemon GO Upgrade Items and Components
An upgrade item is a unique item that can make certain Pokemon develop. The upgrade can be obtained by spinning a PokeStop's picture disc and can be offered as a reward in Pokemon GO events.
Upgrades can be used on armors, weapons, trinkets, and gathering tools to raise their item level. The upgrade costs Flightstones and crests, depending on the item type.
Upgrade components
Upgrade components can be added to weapons, armors, trinkets and gathering tools in order to add attributes bonuses or other effects while using the equipment. Upgrade components can only be used on equipment that has an upgrade slot. The majority of upgrade components require that the item being upgraded is above a certain level. Certain upgrade items come with special visual effects that are visible when they are used. Upgrade components are available through crafting, bought from Karma merchants, or exchanged with other players through the Trading Post. They can also be rescued from equipment and received as rewards.
There are a variety of upgrade components available, each offering an individual bonus. Universal upgrades, such as gems and inscriptions can be used on any type of equipment. They provide fewer bonuses than other types of upgrade component. Infusions can be found in non-amulet equipment that is ascended and legendary equipment, while enhancements are used to upgrade certain items that are ascended back. The majority of upgrade components can be replaced if they are inserted into an item, but doing so destroys the previous upgrade. Exceptions are glyphs (which can only be inserted into gathering tools) and enchantments, which are able to be removed and reinserted freely.
Insignias and enchantments will be displayed their names in the item's hover display, while prefix and suffix upgrades will add their names to the end of the equipment's name (e.g. for example, a Radiant Insignia on Tyrian Armor would change the name to Radiant Tyrian Armor). The number of upgrades that are added to an item will be displayed in the tooltip for the item.
Glyphs
Glyphs are special characters that can be added into an OpenType font to add functional or decorative elements, such as ligatures, ornaments, fractions and swashes registered trademark symbols, and ellipses. The Glyphs Panel lets you insert and view these special characters as well as common symbols like em and en dashes as in trademark symbols that are registered.
Each Glyph gives a character boost in primary stats. It also comes with up to four Secondary Stats that affect the glyph's radius on your Paragon Board. Secondary Stats can be described as a %-increase which is multiplied once other bonuses are applied, with the exception of Speed Glyphs which directly increase the hero's speed.
The Glyphs in your inventory can be activated by selecting them, and then clicking the "enchant" button. This will display a window with the Glyphs available to you. Make sure you select the right kind of Glyph can be applied to the item you are looking for in that each weapon, jewelry or armor piece has a different set of available Glyphs.
You can level up Glyphs by completing Tree of Whisper Quests or Nightmare Dungeons. The more difficult the dungeon is, the greater the amount of Glyph experience you'll get. Once a Glyph is at level 15, it can be upgraded by the Glyph Upgrade Altar. The radius of the Paragon Board grows by one node each 15 levels that a Glyph is upgraded.
After a Glyph reaches the desired level you can activate it. Select it and then click the "enchant button". The resulting glyph will give its stated bonus and will increase the number of nodes within its range on the Paragon Board. Glyphs should be placed in areas that will benefit your build the most. This is why you should consider Magic Glyphs as soon as possible. Some glyphs, however, may offer dual bonuses in the event that certain conditions are met, so they're worth looking out for too.
If you're having trouble finding a particular glyph click the cycle widget on the Glyphs panel to display the panel in a number of views. Each view shows the Glyphs in a different font. You can reduce the number of glyphs by choosing an option under "Entire Font". For instance, punctuation only shows punctuation glyphs. Math Symbols limit the choices to mathematical symbols.
Rerolling
Rerolling is a process in which you create a brand new account to give yourself more chances to access a character or weapon that you are interested in. It is done to increase your level faster, or to obtain more valuable loot like the purchase of a new weapon for your character. Many players roll again until they find the characters they like regardless of their strength. This can be because they like the design or character.
When you reroll, you need be sure that the changes you are making are safe. This means you should verify locally that the patch passes the pre-commit tests and conduct a core development check. Upload the patch with a clear distinction to a bug (see What is an interdiff?) ).
Rerolls can take days or weeks to complete, depending on the luck you have. During this period, you should avoid any optional enemy camps to avoid wasting time. You should also avoid re-doing quests that you can complete later on in the game. This will save you time and energy.
When you reroll, it is important to be aware of the upgrade system. There are several ways to enhance your character's power and appearance. Upgrades, rerolling characters or upgrading weapons are all options. It is also important to be aware of the limitations of the system.
Rerolling might not be an absolute requirement, but it is an effective way to increase your chances of getting an item or character. It could be beneficial in the case of trying to find the best character to play or if you're wanting to try out different builds and play styles.
Sets
A set is an object collection that has 2 common attributes (like the number of eggs in a dozen or the members of a group). Sets can be used to perform operations such as union, intersection and difference.
Upgrades make a set item more effective than it was prior to. For armor and weapons this means that it gets an increase in the base defense, less strength requirements and an lower amount of requirement.
Upgrades can bring items that are popular from single sets to the same level as those in higher-end sets. Upgrades such as Guillaume's Face Helm to Elite Spired helmet can increase the defense by 217 to 321 and reduce the strength and levels to an achievable range.
However, it's important to note that not all set items are good candidates for upgrading. Some sets, such as the FB Sorc Whistan's Shield spec or Naj's Puzzler staff are already Exceptional and Elite in their individual ways and do not require upgrading. On the other hand, certain items that are BiS and have a lot of use (like Goldwrap) may benefit by being upgraded to boost their performance even more. For these types of items, it could be worth the extra cost to upgrade them.
